Beth drew inspiration for this collection from an unusual place – her Grandma Jenny’s house. Growing up in St Louis in the ‘80’s Beth would often escape to this fantasy world and it was here that she developed her love of exotic, one-of-a-kind pieces. “My grandma’s house was like a fashion scavenger hunt. She had different things stashed everywhere in the house. I would dig in her dresser top drawer for jewelry and pins, then go to the attic to get one of her square dancing dresses and petticoat, next to the basement to get a fur coat, then the guest room closet for a hat. Next back to her room for some heels and a purse. She had a satin box of belts on the floor of her closet and it was always my last stop because a belt completes a look.” 

Beth’s passion for style scavenging coupled with her magpie-like eye for beautiful, timeless vintage pieces has led her to a career spent hunting in much bigger closets all over the world as a costume designer. Beth constantly finds inspiration in her work and it was while designing on the 1980’s set female wrestling drama GLOW that she was inspired to launch a belt line. 

“In the 80’s belts were next level ornate and more of a powerful statement than just jewelry. In a world geared towards mass production where design is becoming homogenized I felt a need to return to creating pieces like this that were hand crafted, unique, timeless and exclusive.”
